The first building of a project completed in two phases over a 15-year period, together with the "Casa Ex-parocchiale", it gives unity to a block composed of two separate properties already occupied by two residential buildings.
The new Monte Carasso master plan by architect Luigi Snozzi has generated new and diverse
building opportunities that must also change the paradigms for managing relationships between
buildings. The normal separation of outdoor spaces between different properties can, in fact, lead to
excessive fragmentation of the space, depriving it of all its quality.
All private outdoor spaces are transformed into shared spaces to be shared with the block and the entire
neighborhood, beyond the boundaries of parcels and private property. The habitable areas on the two plots are
thus doubled, giving the whole a strong urban character without reducing the shared outdoor
garden area.
