Organizers
The event is organized by the Open House Ticino Association, founded by the International Institute of Architecture, FAI Swiss, and CCP Cities Connection Project. FAI SWISS
The Swiss foundation of FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano (Italian Environment Fund) aims to promote exchange between Italy and Switzerland and to build bridges between the two countries on the basis of their shared artistic and cultural heritage. FAI SWISS embodies the inspiring values of the Italian Environment Fund in Switzerland, supporting the preservation of artistic and cultural heritage, the conservation of historical assets, and the protection of the landscape and natural beauty. Cultural exchange between the two countries is at the heart of the activities and philosophy behind all the cultural initiatives and proposals of FAI SWISS, which every year organizes a series of cultural events and visits to sites of particular artistic, naturalistic, and social interest in Italy and Switzerland, as well as conferences and seminars on the same themes.
CCP Cities Connection Project
CCP is a bridge between cities and their architecture created by architects Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos, with the aim of generating synergies between architects, cultural operators, public administrations, and universities in European cities. CCP was born from the desire to establish a cultural connection between two European cities with a significant architectural and cultural tradition. At the heart of the project are architecture exhibitions, accompanied by conferences, networking activities, meetings between universities, and the desire to create lasting links between the architects involved. Each event, called Connection, begins with an exhibition in Barcelona featuring projects from the host city, followed by a second presentation of Barcelona's projects in the host city. Each new Connection proposes a different theme, always in dialogue with the unique characteristics and cultural and architectural heritage of the invited city or region.

Open House Worldwide
Open House Worldwide is one of the most important international networks dedicated to promoting architecture and understanding the built environment. Founded in London in 1992 based on a visionary idea by Victoria Thornton, the initiative has revolutionized the relationship between citizens and cities, opening the doors of buildings, houses, and urban spaces that are usually inaccessible, free of charge, to encourage exploration, dialogue, and active participation.
Today, the network has more than sixty organizations around the world, spread across all continents, which host festivals, guided tours, educational programs, and opportunities for discussion every year. The common goal is to involve local communities in the discussion on the quality of architecture and urban transformation processes, enhancing the role of citizens and promoting an inclusive, sustainable, and accessible urban culture.
Open House events are always free and open to everyone, with a particular focus on people from underrepresented backgrounds. Through direct, first-hand experience, the public can learn about, understand, and appreciate the value of a quality built environment, becoming an active part in shaping the future of their cities.
