REMO ROSSI

The Remo Rossi Foundation, located in the house of the Locarno sculptor Remo Rossi (1909-1982) at the foot of the Castello Visconteo, preserves and promotes his work through annual exhibitions related to the works of the sculptor and his artist friends, and offers the possibility of consulting archive documents related to him and the art library. In 1959, Remo Rossi had an atelier complex built in the Saleggi area of Locarno, where world-famous artists worked. Today, Remo Rossi's artistic corpus is kept here. The Foundation preserves Remo Rossi's private collection of more than 500 works by internationally renowned artists. His works can be found mainly in Ticino (sacred buildings, public buildings and cemeteries), but also in the rest of Switzerland and abroad (public and private collections).
