The project area extends along a North–South axis in a peripheral zone of Rancate, surrounded by houses, gardens, and green areas. Access to the Atelier is through two concrete walls holding back the lush flowering groundcover. The volume, defined by pure and simple forms, alternates exposed concrete and prefabricated timber: the former for the base and central core, the latter to create a measured spatial rhythm. The spaces are functionally distributed across three levels, interconnected through a continuous vertical section. The relationship between interior and exterior is articulated through a horizontal glazed cut, two large openings on the short sides facing East and North, and a long skylight running the length of the building.
