Arch. Luigi Snozzi with C. Buetti, 1984

Facing the church, this small bank is inserted on the fourlh side of the piazza, which also includes the town hall and the school, establishing new rules of contiguity and height for future building on the adjoining lots. ln the main facade, the entrance to the bank is made evident by the stratagem of a smaller facade of its own, with cornice, which seems to be enclosed within the expanse of
glass. The section, with staggered floors, was conceived in order to offer direct sunlight for all of the rooms in the apaftments of the upper storeys: this solution compensates for the fact that the part ofthe building facing the piazza is oriented toward the north. The three-part division of the apartment leaves
the central corridor open, forthe entire height of the building, creating a visual connection between the rooms and the living room on two levels, while the living room facing the piazza, raised by half a storey, makes it possible to create a higher atrium fcr the bank on the ground floor.
