Torre d'angolo House
KRAUSBECK SANTAGOSTINO MARGARIDO ARCHITECTS, 2017
Multifunctional building: café with bookshop - training rooms - sheltered accommodation - garage - garden and square. The project expands the range of spaces offered by the Fondazione Paolo Torriani for minors and is located on the edge of the historic city with a precise choice dictated by the relationship of continuity between its proportions and the context. The façade of the building establishes a dialogue with the existing architecture through solids and voids that re-propose the residential scale of the surroundings. The building, through its design and the materials proposed, seeks its own identity, which is declined through the use of a modular grid in reinforced concrete. The roof, conceived as a fifth façade, suggests a dialogue with the existing context. Two pitches slightly inclined towards an internal diagonal, re-propose in an inverted way the theme of the pitched roof.
