The Ciossetto area, designated for public purposes by the zoning plan in 1969, was a large vineyard plot southeast of the historic core around the Church of Sementina. This providential urban void has been transformed into a new centre for the community, around a large public courtyard overlooked by the multipurpose hall, the double sports hall and the primary school, built in three stages between 1999 and 2025. The low, horizontal volumes engage in dialogue with the verticality of the church, while the stone cladding recalls the cart track and the dry-stone walls of the historic core. A new pedestrian route connects the core with the residential neighbourhoods and leads to the church. Next to the parish house, four apartments for self-sufficient elderly residents face a shared portico, a place for meeting and socialising. In 2016 this project received an honourable mention in the competition Abitare bene a tutte le età of the Federico Ghisletta Foundation.
